GoodHire is the small-business storefront: three preset packages, simple checkout, verifications bundled at the top tier for $79.99. Checkr is the platform: pay-as-you-go reports from $29.99, an API, 200+ ATS integrations, and adjacent products for tenant, driver, and continuous checks.

The packages bundle different things
The sticker prices look interchangeable but the contents diverge at every tier. Checkr's $59.99 Essential includes unlimited county criminal searches and identity verification; GoodHire holds education and employment verification for its $79.99 Professional tier, which Checkr sells as add-ons ($12.50+ each) on any package. If your roles need verifications on every hire, GoodHire's bundle can come out cheaper. If you need court depth on every hire, Checkr's Essential is the better-shaped mid tier.
Where the platforms diverge
Checkr is the one that grows with you: the API, the 200+ integrations reviewers consistently praise on G2 and Capterra, continuous monitoring at $1.70 per person per month, and sibling products for tenant screening and driver checks.
