How we review Checkr

What this site is

Checkr Reviews is an independent review aggregator. We are not Checkr and we don't work for them. Our goal is simple: collect what real users say about Checkr across the platforms where they post it, then organize it so you can make an informed decision in a few minutes instead of an afternoon.

Where the reviews come from

We aggregated 47 published reviews across 6 platforms. We did not write, edit, or solicit any of them. Every review is the words of a real Checkr user, quoted from its original source:

• Trustpilot· Mostly candidates going through a Checkr check, plus some small employers.
• G2· HR and talent teams, from small business to enterprise.
• Capterra· Small and mid-size business buyers; sub-scores by category.
• BBB· A+ accredited business profile; reviews skew toward candidate disputes.
• TrustRadius· Longer-form reviews from mid-market and enterprise HR teams.
• Gartner Peer Insights· Verified, anonymized enterprise reviews collected by Gartner.

How we score and tag

Each review is tagged by sentiment (positive, mixed, or critical) and by audience (employer or candidate), so you can filter to the perspective that matches you. The headline score (3.7/5) is the plain average of the star ratings across all 47 reviews. It is not a number we made up, and it is not weighted to flatter the product.

Why we publish critical reviews

A review site that only shows praise isn't a review site. We include the negative reviews on purpose: the billing complaints, the support frustrations, the edge-case bugs, all verbatim and unedited. Balance is the entire point. It's what lets you trust the positive reviews too.

Affiliate disclosure

We earn a commission if you sign up for Checkr through links on this site, at no extra cost to you. This is how we fund the work. It does not influence which reviews we show, how we tag them, or the score we report. The data is the data whether or not you click a link.

Keeping it current

Products and sentiment change. We refresh the review set on a regular basis and re-check facts like pricing and features, and we stamp every page with a “last updated” date so you know how fresh the analysis is. This page was last updated August 7, 2026.
