Overall the reports are neatly organized and easy to read. They have nice help files if needed and overall the site is tidy looking and easy to locate stuff. The area where people log in to see reports seems to keep the reports area separate from logging into the set up a background check area. Very nice clean simple.

BEWARE/Awful Customer Service
If it's an easy bg check, there's no problem. But the second there's additional work that needs to be done, Chekr says it won't be completed for a week and stops doing any work to complete the bg check. Then once the week is up, they say it'll take another week. We contacted courts, past employers, etc... ourselves just to complete bg checks. All information was given to Chekr for them to do... they just didn't. Then you contact the chat and finally get a human, only to be given the runaround. Ask for a Sr Rep and get a bs email with no way to respond. Oh, and i forgot how they just complete sections and you have to go back and pay for it all over!

“Starting from $29.99” became $49.99 with zero explanation. Felt like a bait-and-switch. I chose the Basic background check on Checkr.com, listed at $29.99. As soon as I entered my information, the price jumped to $49.99. There was no breakdown of the cost, no itemized fees, and no explanation of why it changed. I also couldn’t stick with the package I picked. If you can’t actually select the packages they list, why advertise them? A tiny asterisk and the words “starting from” are not an explanation. If the final price depends on fees or other factors, spell it out before asking people for their personal information, not after. The AI “help” bot didn’t help either, and I still haven’t received my background check. I’m left hoping it actually shows up. Charging more than the listed price with no breakdown feels deceptive from start to finish. Checkr, show people exactly what they’re paying for, upfront.
Non-existent customer service
What a horrible customer service experience. You can't speak to a real person via their chat or on the phone. I was on the phone with their AI for 30 minutes and it kept saying that it was transferring me to a real person then it would say it hadn't heard from me in a while and would end the call after 5 seconds. What type of company refuses to help you? Horrible. I also requested a copy of my background check over a month ago and I still don't have it.
Checkr is fast but NOT accurate
Checkr is fast but NOT accurate. They show ALL charges regardless of guilty or not guilty verdicts going back to your birthdate. It is completely AI and has no reasoning ability to depict verdicts, only initial charges. Totally unreliable, for the companies doing the background check AND for the person getting checked.
Worst customer service experience
Worst customer service experience. I wanted to do a background check on a new hire.It let's you build a package or what you want done. So, I built one for $160. Then I get a bill for $414 because there is a "passthough fee" or more than the entire package I thought I was buying- so this is costing more than double what I agreed to. Be warned!!!!!!!
Unreliable service with no real customer support
My background is completely clear, yet Checkr delivered an inaccurate report. To make matters worse, there is no way to connect with a live agent to discuss or resolve the error. I am left sitting and waiting with zero assistance. Highly unreliable service and very frustrating customer support.
